Division 5 Handicap
Four groups in this event
with group one reduced to just two players with two no shows. The other three
groups were four players. Lowest handicap and recent top ten winners in this
division, Dominic Siddall was too strong for Johnny Thornycroft. Despite
conceding seventeen points he was able to win by seven to be the first in the
quarter final. Thirteen year old Adam Kenzitt did well to win his group with
runner up Jason Wild also progressing through. Maz Khan from Shawfield won his
group and Seedfield player Andy Wood was runner up. In the final group it was
another Ramsbottom TT Academy player, twelve year old Harry Bell who followed
his team mate Adam through and Adam Gilman from Maccabi finishing runner up.

Adam’s run in the event by comfortably winning all four games. Team mates Maz and Jonny
from Shawfield put all friendship aside and it was Maz who overcame a ten
point deficit to win by five and taking three of the four games. Harry had a six point
advantage over Jason and a close opening set taken 13-11 by Jason was the
closest Harry could get. Jason took the next three 5, 8 and 9 to win by
