Date: Tuesday 23 October 2012, 7.45 p.m. Place: Seedfield

1) Minutes of the meeting held
on 20 August 2012
Approved.
2) Matters arising
a) Handicap calculation automation
– no progress.
KW
b) Illegal rubbers – the Committee
was pleased to see that the player concerned is still playing this season,
hopefully with new rubbers.
c) Sportsmanship trophy – this
item will be put on the agendas in future so that a decision can be made.
EF
d) Manual scoring machine – KW will
make the purchase before the end of the season.
KW
3) Bank signatories
Natwest Bank
A
minor amendment to the form has been requested by the bank so KB and FG will
deal with this.
GW
4) Dwyer Cup
a) The first round saw a number
of close matches including wins by 1, 2 and 4 points. The largest margin came from a match where
one team were a player short.
b) It was agreed that teams
defaulting in the first round of the Dwyer Cup would not be entered into the
Sponsors Cup. This should be including
in the competition rules.
KW
5) Treasurer’s report
Noted.
6) Website maintenance / Cup
handicaps
KB
will be entering results during KW’s absence.
GW,
BG and KB will be dealing with handicaps.
7) ETTA membership
KW
had identified those ranked players who had not yet renewed their ETTA
membership; all appeared to be reserves or not playing due to illness. IM noted that one had in fact played in
October and KB will follow this up.
RH
drew attention to information from Bolton League that last year’s ETTA membership
did not “expire” until mid-November according to ETTA rules. The B&DTTL needed some guidance from the
ETTA because the League rules were at some variance from this.
KB
8) First Aid courses
This
subject was deferred until a better attended meeting.
9) Next meeting
Tuesday 22 January 2013 at
Seedfield at 7.45 pm.
