CUP RULES
There is no doubles in the CUP matches.
A Club's players will be assigned a handicap for the team for which they have been ranked on the list provided by all clubs.
However, if you wish to play a registered player in a higher team than the one for which they have been ranked this is permissible
but you must request a handicap for that specific match BEFORE the match is played by contacting Graham Wardle or Bob Goodman 
whilst Keith is unavailable
A first reserve will be permissible at a reduced handicap.
A second reserve will only be permissible in exceptional circmstances.
Note that an allocated handicap does not automatically transfer between teams as the handicap is specific to the division of your opponents.
There will be no 'Cup Tying' of players, i.e a player having played for a team in the competition may play for another team at the same club
provided it is not lower than the team for which the player is ranked.
Handicaps will be based on the previous seasons percentage wins but the Management Committee reserves the option to 
change where appropriate. The handicaps will be reviewed after the first half of the season with any appropriate adjustments made.
Some players have a blank instead of a handicap score - Club/Team Secretaries will need to provide information regarding the particular
players playing level to the (Acting) Match Secretary  as above who will then assign a handicap.
If a player is required to play up by more than one division they must first speak to one of the Acting Match Secretaries.
Handicaps will be recalculated for semi finals and finals.
No player may play in the semi final or final of any competition unless they have played five league matches for that club by the first 
 Friday after  31st January or other date specified by the Management Committee. The Management Committee may waive this rule  
 in the case of the lowest ranked team in a club or a club with only one team. 
Even if your match is over by the 8th game we would appreciate if you would complete the match so we can analyse the winning margins.
This will allow us to see if the competition handicapping is accurate so we can make any adjustments for next season.
In the event of a drawn match the away team will be awarded the match.
